According to a Reuters report, PepsiCo, a leading U.S. food and beverage company, has pledged an additional $400 million investment in Vietnam. This significant commitment will support the construction of two new manufacturing facilities powered by renewable energy sources.

The $400 million will be divided between a beverage factory in Long An Province ($300 million) and a food processing facility in Ha Nam Province ($90 million). Both plants will utilize renewable energy sources, reflecting PepsiCo's commitment to sustainable practices.

The construction and operation of these facilities are expected to create jobs and contribute to Vietnam's economic growth.

While specific details on the commissioning of the plants haven't been released, previous reports suggest the Ha Nam facility is expected to be operational by the third quarter of 2025.

This investment strengthens PepsiCo's presence in Vietnam, where they have operated since 1994 and currently run five factories.
