VinFast

VinFast, a Vietnamese car manufacturer founded in 2017, is the first Vietnamese brand to produce electric vehicles. They started with gasoline cars in 2018 but are transitioning fully to EVs by late 2022. Their factory in Hai Phong builds electric cars and motorbikes.

The company has partnered with major players like Pininfarina, BMW, Magna Steyr, Chevrolet, and Siemens. VinFast aims to become a global electric vehicle manufacturer with new plants planned in Germany and the United States. They delivered their first electric car, the VF e34, in December 2021 and sold nearly 35,000 electric cars in 2023.
